Holiday & Pre-OEP Text
A warm year-end text from your team to your members on December 22 each year.
A quick happy holidays from your team, right before the new year. Nothing needed from the member, it just reminds them you're thinking of them and you're around if anything comes up. One text a year.
It's one of the pieces of the Retention Journey, so you can run it on its own or alongside the rest.

How people get in
The campaign comes with an automation that adds members on December 22 each year, as long as their policy status is Active, Placed, Pending, Pending Effectuation, or Pending Followup.
The automation is checked once a night. It doesn't go back for dates that already passed, so make sure the campaign is active before December 22. If you turn it on December 23, nothing goes out until next year.
Reaching the same members again next year
The automation runs every year, but it only adds people who haven't been through this campaign before. Anyone who finished it last year won't be added again on their own. To run them through again, filter your Customers to the people you want, select them, and click Restart (or check Restart the [number] previously enrolled when you add them). See Restarting people.
The text
Day 1: Text
[First name], happy holidays from everyone at [Agency]. Nothing needed on your end, we just wanted to say we're thinking of you. We're right here in the new year if anything comes up.
If something's missing for a member, the text fills in a fallback: "Hi there" for the name and "your insurance office" for the agency.
After the text goes out, the journey ends until next year.
Before you turn it on
Its automation is already on
This template's automation switches on the moment you create the campaign, but the campaign starts as a Draft. Anyone it picks up before you activate gets skipped for good. Finish setup and activate before the next date comes up, or switch the automation off until you're ready (Automations tab, click it, turn off Active, Save Changes).
- SMS registration. Texts don't send until your number is registered (10DLC). See SMS and RCS Registration.
- Member data. Members need a phone number and a time zone or state.
- Timing. Texts only go out during your business hours and between 8 AM and 9 PM in the member's time zone. If you've set December 22 as a holiday or it lands outside your business hours, the text won't go out that day. See Business Hours and Holidays.
- Test it. Send it to yourself first. See Test Your Campaign.
- Activate. A new campaign starts as a Draft. Nothing goes out until you click Activate on the Overview tab.
Changing any of this
- The wording: the Pulse tab. Click the text step to edit it. See Pulse.
- Who gets in and the date: the Automations tab. See Automations Explained.
