Your Trial, Card, and Plan
What works during your free trial, what adding a card unlocks, and what you need a plan for.
Every new organization starts on a free trial. You can set everything up and test it on yourself right away. Adding a card lets Cora talk to anyone, and choosing a plan turns on everything else.
What works when
| Trial | Card on file | Plan | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Test calls in your browser or to your phone | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Cora answers calls | Your team's verified phones only | Anyone | Anyone |
| AI calls and texts to members | Your team's verified phones only | Anyone | Anyone |
| Dialing out from the softphone, or adding someone to a call | Your team's verified phones only | Your team's verified phones only | Anyone |
| AI call minutes | 30 minutes total | 30 minutes total | Your plan's minutes |
| Turning on campaigns | No | No | Yes |
| Phone numbers | 1 | 1 | More as you need them |
You won't be charged for adding a card. Billing starts when you choose a plan.
Verified phones
During the trial, "verified" means a phone number someone on your team has confirmed with a texted code. You verify yours when you sign up. Teammates verify theirs under Settings > Personal > Profile.
That's how you can test everything on your own phones before a single member hears from you.
What callers hear
- Before you add a card, anyone who isn't one of your verified phones hears "This line is not active yet." and the call ends.
- After your 30 trial minutes, callers hear "This line's trial minutes are used up." Test calls don't count toward the 30 minutes.
Both go away when you choose a plan.
Add a card
Add a card in the last step of the welcome flow (Go live), from Add a Payment Method in your Getting Started checklist, or under Settings > Workspace > Billing and Usage.
Choose a plan
Go to Settings > Workspace > Billing and Usage, or click Choose a Plan in your Getting Started checklist. Once you're on a plan, the trial limits above go away and you can turn on campaigns.
If you cancel your plan or remove your card later, your organization goes back to the trial rules.
