# Sales Campaigns (/docs/guides/convert-more-leads/sales-campaigns)

The name of the game with sales campaigns is simple: your licensed agents
should spend their time talking to people who are eligible and actually want
to shop, not chasing cold leads. careCycle reaches new leads fast, screens
them, and warm transfers the good ones to your team.

You've got two ways to run it: let the AI make the calls, or have careCycle
dial for your own agents.

Let the AI prequalify: the Pre-Qualification template [#let-the-ai-prequalify-the-pre-qualification-template]

[Pre-Qualification](/docs/guides/template-library/medicare/pre-qualification)
is our Medicare template for this. It calls people who asked for a Medicare
review (usually through a form on your website), makes sure they know what
the call is about, asks a few quick eligibility questions, and transfers them
to a licensed agent. It can also book a time with your team or log an
inquiry for follow-up.

The AI isn't a licensed agent and it acts like it. It never quotes plans,
compares prices, or gives medical advice.

**At a glance:** up to 4 calls and 5 texts over 4 days, with transfer,
appointment, and inquiry escalations. The [brief](/docs/guides/template-library/medicare/pre-qualification)
has everything it says, word for word.

<Callout type="warn" title="Read the brief before you go live">
  There's a fix to make in the Pulse on Call 1 before you turn this one on. The
  [Pre-Qualification brief](/docs/guides/template-library/medicare/pre-qualification#the-cadence)
  walks you through it.
</Callout>

How leads get in [#how-leads-get-in]

The template doesn't come with an automation, so out of the box you add leads
yourself. See [Add Customers to a
Campaign](/docs/guides/campaign-toolkit/add-customers-to-a-campaign).

For true speed to lead, add an automation on the campaign's **Configuration > Enrollment Automations** editor with the **Lead Created** trigger. It fires for leads that come in through
your [lead sources](/docs/guides/sources) (the leads API), and you can add a
**Lead source** filter so only certain sources get this campaign. (Lead
source filters only work on the Lead Created trigger.) Leads you import or
create in the app don't fire it, so add those yourself. See [Automations
Explained](/docs/guides/concepts/automations-explained).

Set it up [#set-it-up]

<Steps>
  Create the campaign [#create-the-campaign]

  Go to **Campaigns**, click **New Campaign**, enter a name, and choose **Voice AI > Create from template**, and pick **Pre-Qualification** under **Medicare** (it's tagged
  **Revenue**). See [Create a Campaign from a
  Template](/docs/guides/template-library/create-a-campaign-from-a-template).

  Point the escalations at your agents [#point-the-escalations-at-your-agents]

  Open **Configuration > Scenarios & escalations**. Point **Transfer Call**
  at the [routing group](/docs/guides/campaign-toolkit/routing) your
  licensed agents answer, and **Book Appointment** at a [calendar](/docs/guides/campaign-toolkit/calendars). The
  campaign won't activate until both point somewhere.

  Check which number it calls from [#check-which-number-it-calls-from]

  In **Configuration > Calling numbers**, choose **Main number** or
  **Number pool**, then apply the selection with the header's **Save**.
  For high-volume lead calling, a pool of
  local numbers helps protect your answer rates. See [Managing Your Phone
  Numbers](/docs/guides/phone-numbers/managing-your-numbers).

  Register for texting, test, and activate [#register-for-texting-test-and-activate]

  The texts need [SMS
  registration](/docs/guides/stay-compliant/sms-and-rcs-registration). Then
  [test it](/docs/guides/getting-set-up/test-your-campaign) and click
  **Activate** on the **Overview** tab.
</Steps>

Have careCycle dial for your agents [#have-carecycle-dial-for-your-agents]

Want your own people on every call? Use an **Agent Queue campaign** with the
**Outbound dialer**. careCycle works through your leads on a Pulse cadence,
dials, screens out voicemails, and only rings an agent once a live person
picks up. Your agents do the qualifying themselves. See [Agent Queue Dialer
Campaigns](/docs/guides/run-your-team/agent-queue-campaigns).

Inbound callers from vendors [#inbound-callers-from-vendors]

If lead vendors send you live calls, give each one its own source and
tracking number so you can compare vendors on contact, transfer, sale, and
cost. See [Source Tracking](/docs/guides/sources/source-tracking). With
[Ping-Post](/docs/guides/sources/ping-post), vendors can check that someone's
free to answer before they transfer a caller. To have your agents answer
those calls, use an Agent Queue **Inbound desk**.

There isn't an inbound AI prescreener template today. If that's what you're
after, talk to your careCycle representative.

When the transfer doesn't connect [#when-the-transfer-doesnt-connect]

Sometimes the caller says yes, the AI tries the transfer, and nobody's free.
[Overflow Rescue](/docs/guides/template-library/medicare/overflow-rescue)
picks the caller back up and books a callback so they don't leave
empty-handed. It doesn't call anybody on its own. It only talks to people who
were already on the line.
