# Versioning (/docs/api-reference/versioning)



The API version is part of the path. Every public endpoint is served under
`/v2` from the base URL:

```
https://api.carecycle.ai/v2/...
```

There is no version header. Send requests to `/v2` paths, as shown on each
endpoint page.

The [OpenAPI spec](/openapi.yaml) is the source of truth for the current
contract: every endpoint, parameter, and response is defined there, and these
reference pages are generated from it. When a field is deprecated, its
description in the spec says so. To catch changes that affect your
integration, compare the spec against the copy you built against.
